Greetings from Northeast Ohio. It’s a big job to stay on top of the green beans. I do not like it when my green beans get too big. So every day you have to be picking. I like to harvest a bushel at a time.

Have you tried tomato sauce mixed into scrambled eggs? You add it before the eggs cook. It's very savory and tasty. Apparently it's a popular chinese recipe, but I've made it a bunch and it's so good.

Growing up, my mother would can at least 100 quarts of green beans every year, if the harvest was plentiful. A bushel of green beans can yield 12-20 quarts, or about 2 pounds per quart. This is based on the assumption that a bushel of green beans weighs 30 pounds

Justin im not judging you or Rebecca. You would not be were you are at today, if you had put into your channel like you do today. Everyone notices the differnce. It seems its our human nature the more we are able to obtain the more we want. Slow down, take better care of your self your body will soon give out! I did the same thing, had a career i loved, was single so i worked all the time. I became disabled at 56 my career taken away. So blessed that i didnt owe anything. It can happen so quick!

Love the garden areas~! So jealous right now as we are just starting all over again on our new land here in central NC. You will need at least 3 or 4 50' rows of green beans to have enough for a year for your family. Especially if you want to eat a bunch fresh. Love the vlogs they have been so very helpful over the years. :)

Becky. Canned tomatoes are great for soup. Just boil whole tomatoes. Dunk in cold water peel cook. Skim foam put in clean hot jars. I put mine in oven on low and sanitize heat rings and lids. Don't over heat may bust. Add 1 teaspoon canning salt to quart.Clean top of can with cloth Can turn upside down for few minutes. Reverse. I don't Water bath . Leave sitting all night. Check seals. Clean off cans. Soo fresh and good

I used to can at least 70 - 125 quarts of green beans a year, for 3 in the family. I always gave to others also. If there freq picked and bugs dont bother them, usually didn't that one row would bare to fall. No need for fall planting , if picked freq they will just keep producing. Always planted contenders.

Be careful about over babying Henry. Even if he is the last child you will have. Becky lessen the apron strings. You will come to regret it. Unsolicited advice. But sometimes I cringe at the asking him not directing him. A little discipline is a good thing

If you are getting a freeze dryer soon. FD salsa is an amazing thing to make with your tomatoes. You can just rehydrate whatever you need…a little or a lot at a time. Also tomatoes sauce and pizza sauce also rehydrate wonderfully!
