How many of you use your 6.5 Creedmoor for varmint/predator hunting? The Burris Veracity PH performed very well on this hunt. We have more coming with this optic! Correct velocity has been posted! Please Like, Subscribe and Share!

It works very well. I've been behind the camera numerous times while David has shot using the TBU9. It does a great job cutting down the sound, to the point that we often don't wear hearing protection, because it is just not needed.

Eric, question: Did I hear correctly. "140 gn factory and 143gn eld-x @ 3,500 fps?" in a 6.5 Creedmoor. All the same even at a lower velocity, great shooting at long range.

I was so blind to the numbers when I was editing, that I didn't catch it. Then, the author/shooter didn't catch it! That velocity picture ended up in the wrong folder. That is the velocity of my .22 Creedmoor shooting 64 grain TGKs out of an 18" barrel! I'm glad you guys caught it for us! We just hate that we missed it! The velocity was 2762 fps out of the 25" barrel with handloads. Thanks for catching it so we could make the correction! 👍

@@joelclark2130 - Both are great options! Depending on how far you want to go, prairie dog hunting is much better in Eastern Montana/Wyoming and Colorado. The ground squirrels we shoot only stay up until July, then they are down until the following February/March. We go East for PDs after that!

All I have in 6.5 Creedmoor is the Tikka TAC A1 and that metal chassis and cold... nope. Bad enough at the range at freezing, I hunt yotes below zero. I'd like a drop-in composite stock for things like this, but mine is in lefty and I haven't found any.
@Cachecarlson

Woox might make a left stock, those are pretty slick too.

@@Cachecarlson I didn't see any lefties there but I may have missed it. I can get a Pendleton Composite Stock made but I'd have to leave it there for months. The nice part about that though is it would be the way I want it and I can use the Tikka mags which I really like. Just unbolt the chassis and bolt on the composite. Being able to swap back and forth is really appealing.

So do the turrets still have audible and tactile clicks with this PH setup in case the UHD decides to crap out or burris stops supporting the app, the scope is still somewhat usable? Also what kind of battery is used for the optic and how long does it last? Does the optic need your phone connected to it all of the time for it to calculate all of the time? Thanks.
@varmintermagazine
10 ай бұрын
No. But it is still usable if the batteries die. 2 x CR2450 batteries are needed and they last a while. You don't need the app to run the optic. Once everything is put into the scope, you are set.
