Coach gun is still on my list of must haves for my collection, and one of the few that won't add a caliber so I don't have to source ammo in these times

what did you do to seal in between the barrels on the front after you chopped it? i like to poke a little bit of steel wool in between there, then seal over that smooth with some jb weld, sand/file and done.

@@CloverTac i dont recommend doing it at all bubba. It can compromise the structural integrity of an already aged gun. Go buy a purposes built coach gun (a used stoger is like 400$) and leave the antiques and vintage guns alown there bubba

I’ve always wanted a coach gun just because they’re cool. Been looking for the hammerless CZ coach gun but they’re pretty hard to find. Granted, I could find on online but I’ve just been waiting until I come across one at a gun shop.

I took my old 1970’s vintage FIE 12 guage double barrel shotgun and cut barrels shorter. Sanded off old finish and put a nice dark oak non-glossy finish on it. Found a “Property of Wells Fargo” brass plate which I fastened to the stock. Also added a set of sling mounts and a leather sling to it. Drilled and tapped for a new front bead sight. Made a piece of metal to fill in gap between barrels in front. kzitem.info/news/bejne/q2apv2GVrnyhfo4

You're killing me. I want a coach gun so bad but it's hard to justify buying a stoeger for 400 when you can get a pump for cheaper. And only one shop locally has old doubles. I'm pretty sure he thinks they are made of gold tho

Gd old gun...hope u fire appropriate length shotshells...likely chambers are 2.5 or 2 5/8" and those shotguns werent Proofed for smokeless modern powders... Id be shooting black powder/and or appropriate low pressure smokeless...honestly its your gun...id of never cut it...check my channel i post several of mine...im in process of restoring a few .. Also at end where you cut it...likely a hole where wedge is now gone...a trick is stuff hole with steel wool. And melt solder inside...fill flush... Then dress with a file

That shotgun is not so old its BP only and it probably has 2 3/4 inch chamber. but i wouldn't feed it a steady diet of slugs. Especially after he compromised it by haking the barrels. I will never understand why bubba yanks do this sh!t. Just buy a stoger for F-sakes

First! You need a sight for this. Can probably JB weld a truglo sight or drill in a bead sight.
