Rotten, dented, dated, and more, this thing ticks every single box in my customising likes, you never fail to amaze chuck

Thanks, Jon! I was thinking of ways to get sharp creases and corners but still have support behind it and realized the diecast was thick enough I could carve a lot away and still have plenty of metal behind it for support.

Beautiful build, Chuck! It’s nice to see a new project from your bench. Thank you for the details. I need to try that tire paint kit. 👍🏼

Just layer after layer of ingenuity. Every build is amazing, so enjoyable to see the process. The color of the tires is cool because you automatically assume black. Nay nay!

Great job on that car. I like the aluminium tape idea. I've seen sharon tarshirs do this, but with regular aluminium foil,he grinded away allmost the whole door, glued on the wrincled foil and reinforced with som jb weld or something

That's another great way to do it. I like aluminum tape because it's already got the adhesive attached. 😉

Re future customs, for what it’s worth, Monoblock finally came out with offroad wheels, which are a bit smaller than the hot wheels ones. I think they’re closer to what you see on matchbox and Johnny lightning. I recently got a Tomica Mitsubishi pajero 5-door. Early 90’s version. Gonna try those wheels on that and some others.
