Hey John, thanks! In the middle of major home remodel at the moment, so the Bean had to take a back seat for awhile. I have been working on the controls a little and will get more video up as soon as I can, trying to learn a new camera too... Thanks for watching!!

This is an excellent project. I am up in a remote part of Alaska and would love to build one of these for my boat. Can you please share what hydraulic ram that is/parts you used, or maybe a way to get in touch with you to pick your brain on this design? I was the hospital school teacher at the children's hospital down in Fort Myers for 10 years, it sure does get hot!

Hey, sorry for the late reply. We were ground zero for hurricane Ian, so I've been busy fixing the house. I got the cylinders from East Coast trailer supply. The only place I could find aluminum cylinders, and just knew that from seeing them on car haulers on the road. I love the heat here, no way I could do Alaska! Send me a pm and ask me anything else.

What is the name of this device for lifting the motor? Is it a belt or a chain? It's hard to see on video. Please share your experience. Thank you.

It's called a web hoist. It uses a nylon strap, much nicer than the cable or chain type and very strong.

Hello John, Is it possible to share the drawings? I am looking for a bracket like this myself. I love your solution. Best regards from Holland
