Learn to use your embroidery machine to custom quilt your own quilts, saving lots of money and without spending years perfecting your free-motion quilting skills.
This video is part 1 of a two-part series on custom quilting on your embroidery machine where you will learn how to prepare your quilt for hooping. We will cover assembling your quilt sandwich on a table (rather than crawling around on the floor), stabilizing the quilt with stitch-in-the-ditch using your walking foot, and how to hoop the quilt sandwich using a standard hoop that came with your machine.
Part 2 will show you how to utilize the digitizing capabilities built into the Babylock IQ Designer (IQD) and Brother My Design Center (MDC) features of machines that have camera capabilities. You will learn to create custom stippling, fancy background fills, and even create your own custom designs (Orange peel motifs for a 9-patch block).
