Nice build! I also ride a steel frame single speed, with flat bars. I rode bmx when I was younger, so have always been used to having only one gear. I just love the simplicity and look of single speed and fixed gear bikes. When I was a kid, spending hours staring at bicycle catalogs, I saw a fixed gear track bike and totally fell in love. I enjoy running my bike as fixed sometimes, but as much as I love the brakeless look, I enjoy the function of them even more.

Nice, I love the build. I have one of these that is geared. Had intended to make it single speed but I have been enjoying it geared too much. I love the twitchy handling but for some reason the bike feels slow to me. I don't really care or notice most of the time but I know a few areas where I usually push and go hard I've noticed it's hard to get going as fast. Great bike for just cruising around the city and having a good time while still being able to push it a bit. I love how this one looks with all the silver. Mine is stock black for most of the parts which looks good but doesn't pop like this one.

Interesting! My partner had a super pro for a bit and didn’t get along with it and it was mainly too big. I think the 49 was actually a 52 or something. When I bought mine I took the sizing into account because I worried if that happened it wouldn’t handle how I want but, the 58 is fairly close to most 58’s. How is the fit on yours? And what wheels/tires are you running? Thanks for checking out the video!

Fun video, cool bike, and great review! I assembled a couple Super Professionals at my job this summer. Good lookin’ bike. According to the more experienced mechanics at the shop, the little nut inside the dropout tensioner can get stripped pretty easily and is a pain to get replaced. When you’re adjusting the chain tension, just make sure everything else is loose and help the wheel back with your hand instead of just relying on the little adjustment screw, and you shouldn’t have any issues.

Any issues with the rear dropout sliding around or slipping? I've read some people have that issue, but I've also read All-City revised the part. Your frame appears to be the 2023 new color so maybe it's got the new part. I'm interested in the yellow single speed version (I think your bike color normally came with gears). Also, how tall are you? I'm 6'1 and can't decide between the 55 or 58. Thanks from Calgary. James

@bike.breath
Ай бұрын
If your tires are below 42c I personally find tubeless doesn’t make much of a difference. I often ride much bigger tires so, I like it when I’m running something like 30psi or less. Also I think that tube might’ve been faulty haha, I replaced it with another and so far it’s held nicely. A lot of the parts I like to buy aren’t in local shops so the shop I buy the most from is Dismount (Toronto). Also CL Cycle (Montreal). If it is something I can find locally then I always prefer full cycle in Hintonburg! Thanks for tuning into the video! See you around town!
