25:34 - Let me break ALL your hearts: Beulah Cooper, one of the women for whom the character of Beulah Davis is named, had a son, Aubrey, who was a firefighter. That's what allowed her to connect and sympathize with Hannah. Aubrey passed away shortly after the Broadway premier of Come From Away. I like to think he was excited to finally meet Kevin O'Rourke, and that they're good friends now, just like their mothers. "Our candle's in the window."

If you want to experience a St. John's, Newfoundland Screech-In Ceremony, I recently posted the following video from a road rally that 40 or so friends took across Newfoundland back in August of 2019 - kzitem.info/news/bejne/zal9lqqPe6qSoHo

Werner. The Beadaby's. the Moldovans. Clemens Briels. Tom McKeon. All these stories they just didn't have time for in the show.

You are welcome! I am always reticent to record anything in a public performance - and hold no ownership rights over any of this. This night was different because a slice of history was being offered to an audience for the first time and it was an important history. I tried to capture it because it was important - and honor the troupe and the family who made this possible. This show inspired me to travel to Newfoundland in August to explore in my own way. I am happy to say that I have made connections with several different islanders who are so much like those of the play - but different in their own spirit. Authentic and wonderful and people I look forward to being lifelong friends. I am now living my own connection to the island - which is the real magic of this story.

I went right to find the Werner Baldessarini song. It's one of my favorite Gander 9/11 stories that didn't make it into the show.

Thanks for posting this. What’s amazing is I heard some of the lines that were cut in the pre-Broadway show in Toronto in 2016. I miss the line about the chalkboard drawing of a goose.
