wow I have extremely oily facial skin especially on my nose with an overabundance of keratin that develops into hardened dry flaky sheets of skin that I must frequently exfoliate by buffing & at times use tweezers to remove the excess skin. I've heard of cutaneous horns caused from an excess of keratin but had no idea about the skin cancer risk. I'll for sure talk to my doctor about this problem. your channel is very enjoyable and informative. a big thank you to you, your staff and to your very sweet patients!

Doctor, I admire you being comfortable with your tremor. I have the same thing in both hands. Whenever I work with my hands, even signing a paper, trying to get money out of my purse, I feel people are looking at me in a judgmental way or even wondering what is wrong with me. I have always wondered what causes tremors?
@auburnmedicalgroup
7 жыл бұрын
+Carlette Moser It comes from having a higher susceptibility to excitatory neurotransmitters or more production of excitatory neurotransmitters in certain parts of the nerve pathway of muscle control. I'm being very nonspecific, because there are various types of tremors.

@auburnmedicalgroup

+Sally Ann I will only address benign essential familial tremor, since that is what I have. It is caused by an over excitation of the nerves involved in controlling muscles. There are medications that we sometimes prescribe to patients to help decrease or eliminate the tremor.

Auburn Medical Group My Dad used to say they would draw up the injection & the doctor would go along the line. He was in India & Burma during WW2 & they would come in from the jungle to get their shots. Because his surname was towards the end of the alphabet, he said the needle was blunt by the time it reached him! He used to tell young doctors & nurses about it & enjoy the absolute horror on their faces. A tough generation. 🙋🏻🇬🇧

Patricia Marshall Robb I am a Registered Nurse from Canada and I've seen a few of these types of growths but I must admit it constantly amazes me to see the number of growths and their many locations. I also have read a number of posts regarding "INTENTION TREMORS". I am quite familiar with this problem thanks to Multiple Sclerosis which I have had for almost 40 yrs. My first problem to conquer was drinking fluids and how to accomplish it without getting it all over. And of course if you try to do it slowly and carefully so that you don't spill it and this is where the name of the problem - the more you try the worse it gets ... hence the word "intention" tremor. I finally started using a straw and most people don't notice anything. When you use a straw to drink hot beverages like tea or coffee that may draw a few stares. Just to mention - I have had MS for 40 years and am still upright and walking around. It takes a little upkeep like living well but I just wanted people to know that MS is not always a cause for despair and thoughts of wheelchairs, etc. - although this is a possible outcome for more severe forms of MS. I apologize for the long post but I sometimes like to let the public know that if you or someone in your family or even just someone you know is diagnosed with a medical problem like MS or a problem like this type of growth on the nose or intention tremor - it is best not to panic because most times it is not as bad as you might think.
