When my kids were toddlers they loved those beautiful lights. Course, we had to move the tree 🌲 lol my kids had the best time going by “ the tours of the Christmas trees & yard decoration lights in our neighborhoods here in Texas.... 🇨🇱💜🙋🏻♀️ Love these grand babies playing during Christmas...

Babies are by nature curious. They are going to explore everything and touch things they shouldn't be touching. Instead of constantly saying NO, distract him with something else, engage with him and play with him. I think this video was made because mommy wanted one of her saying NO!
@dookiefingers8436
Жыл бұрын
I think thats completely wrong. If he starts crying and pitching a fit, then try to distract them. Babies have to learn what "no" means eventually. People raising them like how you just suggested is why there's so many whiny adults nowadays who cant handle being told no. I'll sit there and tell them "no" for 20 hours straight if thats what it takes to get them to start listening.

Yeah, better to distract the baby rather than saying multiple nooo s. Before 2 years old, toddlers don t get the reason of NO and get frustrated. After 3/4 years old, the rules begin to become meaningful. Still, the mum is great and the little guy lovely😍

It's because he probably knows he can get his way if he is allowed to cry for a long time. They need to give him a reason to cry and teach him no means no and it's not meant to be repeated to the child over and over.

She's a good mom and it's human to keep saying no. But she's saying it too many times. If you say no and he doesn't listen, then you pick him up and move him. I learned from experience not to to say no over and over. I did the same thing she's doing when I was a new teacher.

He needs types of things to play with that will keep his attn. The things he has will not. Kids need to explore...of course not the fireplace. Try picking him up and allowing him to explore it with you safely. Once the mystery is gone, he may not even attempt again. I disagree with people saying to move your decor. Kids are very smart. He will learn what he can touch and what he can not.

Kids at that age are pre-logical i.e. they are not capable of understanding rational objective thought so no matter how many times you say no, they cannot understand it -much less being good or bad. This is why they behave so irrationally. They will eventually grow out of it but during this time, parent need to abandon punishment, otherwise, they run the risk of traumatizing the child. It's only when they reach around 6 years old they begin to grasp objective thinking.

A play pen is the answer until he's a bit older.
@lornaduwn
6 жыл бұрын
Waiting until the child is older to teach him boundaries will only make it harder on the child. Playpens have a purpose, such as when you have to use the bathroom, answer the door, throw a load of laundry in, or do anything which might distract you for a few minutes. It is a good idea to have them play in the playpen occasionally when you are there, just so that they are used to it and won't think it's a punishment when you have to put them in it. However, relying on it to keep the child safe at all times teaches the child nothing about boundaries and complying when Mom says no. Think of a child who has been kept in a playpen and has not learned these boundaries by the time they are a toddler and the playpen no longer contains them. What would happen if they reach for the stove or something dangerous and Mom shouts "NO" from across the room? I'm not so sure about any child who spent there crawling years in a playpen, but I'm pretty sure that this child most likely will stop
@sannytizer7772
6 жыл бұрын
He won't really know what boundaries even are until his brain develops more, we are not talking about being in a playpen all day long, it's when he's being too boisterous, as in the video, you can't expect anyone to keep an eye on him continually, a playpen is the best method at his age and temperament when he's acting up.
