Cool cookies ! Your log stop would help stop the shake , & if you don't slow your water to a drip you will throw your blade friend , Them pieces will make nice tables, I have the HM122 & it is awesome :) I only have 90 hrs on it so new at it but like trying new things :)

I am not a sawyer but wonder is the shaking because you are cross cutting vs normally ripping? I have heard that is a thing with chainsaws only there it is ripping vs crosscut. Just curious.

THAT is absolutely the problem. It's teeth per inch, crosscut blades have 10 times as many.

I think for me it mostly came down to needing a firm base that could resist the forces of the saw blade cutting across the grain. But I am sure that you are right, there was more resistance to the blade cutting across the grain versus ripping. Thanks for watching!

I've tried this on my mill, and what I found out that works is get some 8 quarter By 10 inches.Cut it the size between the 2 bunks.I cut mine at 43 inches and then Use clamps To clamp it down to the bunks.And then you'll be able to cut cookies with no problem

Nice job on trying different tactics until you found something that worked. Will you give the cookies a coat of Anchor Lube or something similiar to keep them from checking? What are you going to do with them?? Thanks for the video

Thanks for watching. I am going to paint them with water thinned Titebond glue. Someone else mentioned doing that so I thought I would give it a try as I already have some. My wife would like me to build a couple of small bistro tables with them.

Making these cookies is best when using hard Maple or sugar. Maple. That's been tapped for several years on. Every side of the tree was any luck. You'll get 12 scand you will remember them like a clock. We've made several clocks like this that have scars from being tapped for maple sugaring , they're beautiful
