It’s a great product. If you ever have help cutting, it keeps things consistent and it doesn’t mash the comb like a punch type cutter does.

There’s different approaches to doing Comb Honey, to do it correctly it’s a lot of work and that’s why you don’t see as many people doing it. Then there’s what I call accidental Comb Honey where you really didn’t do anything to make it happen you just kind of let it happen if the bees give you a little Comb Honey great you have a couple frames and that’s fine. I really enjoy Comb Honey production nearly as much as queen rearing and for me it’s a niche that I can slide into that isn’t being filled in my area and there really isn’t anyone trying to other than me

I left a comment on another video saying that you should use heat to cut the comb. It’s so easy to forget that the people on the screen have access to the same information that’s new to me 😅 Sorry about that but hey, it’s engagement 🤷🏻♀️

Thanks for this video. I had looked at the comb hot knife at the Hive Live Conference, where we briefly met. So, I'm assuming that you like it better than a typical knife for the speed, accuracy and clean edges. I have been using a snap off razor blade the last couple of years. How long do you let your comb sit and drip before putting them in the container, if I may ask? I asked because I have never sold it in the container only in jars with honey and I don't have to let it drip. I enjoy supporting all Tennessee beekeepers by watching, love my home state and the beekeeping here is not as bountiful in Oklahoma. Thank you very much for your time and your videos, have a blessed day.

I don’t have a set time, typically I cut up until I’ve filled all of my pans/rack and the switch gears. I’ve noticed most customers don’t care if it’s drained. Honey shows do. So, what are the drawbacks to honey pooling- possibly faster crystallization, and potential leaking issues if not sealed well.
