Nice one, I watched all the videos. Do you think it can be done without cutting? For example ungluing the the housing with a heat gun or in the oven.

Ready, I opened the taillights this way, but I'm starting to worry about what glue to stick after I'm done, so it doesn't fall out somewhere? What glue do you use and whether it is sure that it will not disassemble somewhere and fall out of the car!?

i used a soldering iron to melt the cut back together, then melted some(6, i think)pieces of thin stainless steel mesh into the plastic over the cut and finally covered the seam with 5 minute epoxy...instead of the mesh i would suggest using z-shaped wire and maybe in 10-12 places all along the cut...heating the mesh was pita, wire would make melting it into the plastic easier...

nice clip dude would it kill you to list some of the tools needed and the parts you used to convert to amber?? even if you soldered and retro fitted, those details would be nice,, i still gave you a thumbs up because you showed the most important step (CUTTING) with caution to the delicates

thanks bro...you gave me motivation to upload just that clip... kzitem.info/news/bejne/w2N50amtcGN4dIY you can use a dremel or similar to cut them, i used a ryobi multitool, you can even melt them open with a soldering iron...

Is there another option to open the lights without cutting the case?
@mtypunk

it is probably possible to separate the lens from the housing... i tried heating which did not work so it is either glued or ultrasonic-welded...

anyway to take out the red in the tail lights?
@mtypunk

should be possible, might require more cutting or cutting at a different location...why would you want to remove the red, though?..

Hi, really nice video and very helpful when I am looking for a solution for my red running light (outer red ring). Other threads say it must be corrosion on the pcb so I want to fix it by cleaning and solder in new led. Can you help me and say if the outer leds are red or white? (are they just tinted by the red lense?) Do you know the voltage of the plcc2 smd leds?
