YESSIR! I just got my non-Foundation CT invitation Friday, Oct. 4th. I did sign up for the Tri-motor with FSD, @ $7k, at reservation (a week after reveal), and with state of Washington sales tax and all of the little extras, it cost me ~$120K... I have Power Wall 3's so we have the hardware for power-share. Have filled out all of the app forms, have been saving (for 5 years) so just waiting for the text/e-mail telling me my truck is ready!! I think all the folks that have been waiting around me are even more excited that I'm finally getting my truck! Thanks for the update!

I just rolled over 14k miles and I picked mine up about 2 weeks after you. My biggest issue was the low voltage wiring harness was bad. After a month of being in the shop it has driven perfectly. I do have to have my wiper motor replaced as it shakes pretty bad over the speed of 70mph. The vehicle definitely still has a lot of interest and I talk with almost everyone that asks. My only upgrade I am thinking of are road tires for towing my RV.

My major issue: no pass thru to the bed. I realize the tonneau cover situation but there's got to be a work-around like a "fail safe" mechanical latching that prevents the cover from moving if the pass thru is opened. Lowering the glass would also be a nice part of that. Minor issue: a more multi-flexible tailgate like a 180 degree drop and, come on, a step area on the bumpers on both sides. The "A" pillars obstruction is not a big deal because in my Dodge I have giant mirrors where I can't see anything either requiring a lot of caution. The tray accessory under the back seats and the divider for the bed should have been standard in the Foundation Series but I will spring for those. One word review: SMOOTH.

I wonder if for the "heating" it is really just stopping the cooling loop from running in the battery, and letting internal heat just warm the pack. Any numbers on that, i.e. seeing discharge curve get steeper when preconditioning going on?
@geirmyrvagnes8718
23 сағат бұрын
There are apps and dongles on the CAN-bus you can use on other Teslas and the batteries are definitely actively heated. You can see the inlet temperature on the cooling water going higher than the outlet temperature. I don't know if they have any apps like that working on the Cybertruck yet, since the computer network in the car is of a new type, too. I'm interested to see what improvements they make over the coming years. The tonneau cover seems to break/come lose off-roading. That A-pillar cover has come loose for numerous owners. Every owner seems to agree that the rear-view mirror should be replaced by a screen/camera, especially one where you can switch between looking behind or looking at the cargo space. Many people also asking for a spare tire. Maybe they can make that work as an option instead of the under-bed storage. #1 thing would be having a 500mi range option for those who want to tow or go farther off the beaten track, power their cabin, that kind of thing. With some newer batteries claiming 500W/kg, that could potentially be done in the not-too-distant-future without adding any weight.

7:20 well, the Model Y is very light compared to the Cybertruck. Such a heavy vehicle tends to fishtail a lot more and if you're not used to that, you will loose control very quickly. So Tesla did the right thing there and put this behind an "offroad mode" button. :)

@@DirtyTesla just hit that damn offroad button, if you want to ;) In all seriousness: Fish tailing a heavy vehicle is no fun for most people, as they will instinctively overcompensate the steering input, leading to something which is called pilot induced oscillation in aviation. I converted my day 1 reservation to an order right after I got the invite to the non-foundation series, thinking it qualified for the tax credit (because Tesla previously said it would likely qualify and it even showed up on the EPA site with the under $80,000 price). But then I found out it didn't and they wouldn't let me go back to my spot in the reservation line and I had to pay a $250 penalty to cancel on top of it all. So I got totally screwed over and Tesla just doesn't care. Brand loyalty seriously damaged with that move. :( If you have A/Z plan, you can get a Lightning Flash for $51,725 plus tax after all the discounts vs $79.995 with Cybertruck, so that's where I'm looking at for now.

The reason I ask that is because with my stainless steel appliances, it's quite hard for me to leave a fingerprint on it, and when people mention fingerprint during early days of CT I was confused why that thing is happening. Maybe it's because it's so brand new clean and Tesla smoothen out the surface while my appliances are old so the surface is roughen up? I'm not sure and I'm curious.

You live in such a warm climate, it’s sounds odd that you would need to warm the battery on every charge. And you get to drive reasonable speeds, so the energy usage should keep it warm.

I don't think he's got objective numbers for any energy use for warming the battery.

The more I look at a non-foundation cybertruck the more I am put off from it. No powershare mobile connector only a gen 2 UMC. No homelink. Still no backup cam solution for a dirty lens which is also foundation problem too. Not thrilled with rear mirror situation. At least FSD is out. No tax credit overall yet if ever, certainly not for white trim. No CCS or Chademo adapter support. I am sure I'm forgetting a few other small things.

On PowerShare; also if you have Solar with no Powerwall , PowerShare does NOT currently work. Waiting for updates.

8:30 "efficiency way-way below than Tesla advertized" it's mean - worse. You mean - better. So, you supposed to say "consumption way below" or "efficiency way higher"

Here is Europe it's hard to justify to have such a big truck if anything you need to transports also fits in a Model Y. This truck is just too big for the roads, garages and parking spaces here....
