Was born in Fort Worth, left after graduating high school in 1970. The trails weren't a thing yet when I was living there in the 50s and 60s, but I've come back over the last 20 years and done the trails ride a few times. You managed to find the White Elephant saloon that my brother told me I should seek out on my last trail visit about four years ago. I never could find it - wasn't using GPS, and somehow never found the right trail head spot to exit from. I need to get up there again a.s.a.p. and do some more riding. Last time I found a hotel right on the trail in the Forest Park area, just south of downtown, and used that as my headquarters for both north and south explorations. Anyway, pleasantly surprised to find this video of a place I've been several times. Cheers!

Hi Curt. I'm glad this stirred up some old memories for you. I remember when there was just a few gravel roads in spots along the Trinity. It's really nice now and they are working on the connector trail to Dallas. ✌

When I was a young man I got my guide licence for fishing. An uncle who had been a guide for years told me if I did that it would just become a job! He was right and now I hardly ever fish. The same can be said for making videos for some of us. Some times you just have to step back a while. I hope 2022 is everything you hope for.

I don't know if Hector caught any fish that day. Further down the river were many fishermen on both sides of the bank fishing in a small area. Every year the river is stocked with trout and maybe that was the area they stocked. Thank you for watching.

Nice ride, it looks like you’re going hyper speed tthrough the trails haha! But that’s probably because I’m used to the slow walking pace of hiking :) Greenbelts are always a nice treasure to have in an urban area, living in a concrete jungle with no nature doesn’t suit me well at all. Also nice shout out for the coffee shop at the end!
