With concerns about a potential cyclone hitting Odisha in October, following predictions from multiple weather models, a cyclonic circulation has developed over the Bay of Bengal today. As per the IMD, this cyclonic circulation emerged over the central Andaman Sea on October 19. It is expected to lead to the formation of a low-pressure area over the east-central Bay of Bengal and nearby north Andaman Sea by October 21. This system is likely to move northwestward and intensify into a depression over the central Bay of Bengal by October 23.
The Odisha Civil Services 2022 results were announced today by the Odisha Public Service Commission, Cuttack. According to reports, based on the Main Written Examination conducted from February 25, 2024, to March 3, 2024, and the Personality Test held between September 10 and October 7, 2024, the Commission has recommended 683 candidates for appointment to Group-A and Group-B posts under the Odisha Civil Services-2022, as per Advertisement No. 17 of 2022-23. Of the total selected candidates, 258 are women.
