Hello cyndi from leeds england, ive loved you and your amazing voice from your start, enter my own daughter, she grew up with your music and you,you have an amazing spirit and presence, full of life and uniqueness, kate bush, like you were instrumental in moulding my daughters drive and inspiration from being a little girl, when i see your singing its like a devine thing, it melts my soul, the feelings, pleasure and effect on me is indescribable, i didnt know your past was unpleasant yet i had a feeling from early days you had suffered to make you so unique,so it didnt surprise me when i found out today love, i am deeply saddened to know this, yet i am truly happy for you and what you have achieved, well done lass,my daughter has her own band and at university she was told you have to be different and quirky, i would like to think you helped her win the best performance of that year, keep making those beautifull songs and what you do love, you are like a rare diamond, precious ❤

Yep. One of the best things she ever recorded. Sadly the album tanked as it just wasn’t what the market was looking for at the time. Lauper refers to it as “A Night To Forget”, which is a shame as I think it may be her strongest album musically. “She’s So Unusual” has the best individual standout songs, but it’s a bit of a patchwork album.
