It’d be cool to talk with you some more and swap knife thoughts. I’m kinda just getting into buying knives but I’ve been a viewer of knife videos for a few years.

@Lugermonger35
6 жыл бұрын
xOrbz that's really tough the Griptilians are excellent especially for the price they're probably less intimidating and easier to use in the public the Griptilian will be a better cutting tool whichever one but the socp takes it for Speed defense as well as strength it's a fixed blade The Griptilian will be better for fondling as well it's funner to play with open and close it but the socp can be a fun knife to spin I think it depends on whether or not you're more focused towards self-defense or General EDC for self-defense the socp all the way but the Griptilian is not a bad choice in that Realm and has much better geometry for cutting

Disclaimer: what I will say is an opinion based on my understanding, I've never held an OTF since they are illegal here. I'm certain this feature was intended, not if it was for user safety. But it would make sense, lawsuits etc. Yes you could put bigger or stronger springs in there, but if the action is too violent, the knife will be damaged over time, think of slamming a folder open with a wrist flick all the time. Just because it's not a blocking safety but a resistance safety, doesn't mean it's not a safety. No tool is ever safe, theres always a risk in using a tool, relying on a safety instead of using common sense is the wrong way to go anyway, with any tool. Just my 2cents. Happy new year Jared. Soly
