I like how he plays hard. Nice to see that again. Love this guy and the Snapper guitar. Check out Mamoru Goriku as well. Solid player. Great songs

But he's a long way from reaching Ohmura-san level, in terms of songs, shredding, various styles, and maybe much more.. like i'm imagining a van hitting a big truck..

His amazing iwe seen him live twice in Tokyo ! The guitar is his signature guitar! its a ESP Snapper model! Its available in both Gold Silver and Pink Sparkle!
I would love to see him play his own songs, the only time I've seen him was with babymetal, totally worth it if you want to see takayoshi live

One of the few guitarists that seem to have nailed the simple yet often confusing pattern to Battery. That was pretty damned good - almost Hetfield like. Almost ;) Really liked the rest of the songs too.

Swampster70 Hetfield can't even get close. Not even in his dreams.

Arpeggioshredder No one can play Battery rhythm like Hetfield - Takaoshi comes close but it's not quiet there. Check out James's Guitar Center video that starts out with him playing Battery. Rhythms like that are the domain of Papa Het. That he can construct those patterns and sing over the top of them whilst nearly every guitar player struggles to keep up is testament to his prowess. When it comes to lead guitar, I agree, Takaoshi is miles ahead but that wasn't my point. When it comes to Metallica, it's ironic that my favorite lead parts, the first solo in Master of Puppets and the solo in Nothing Else Matters, are played by James and not Kirk.

Swampster70 I got what you saying, he didnt I guess, even old papa het at his age he’s one of the best Rhytm player top 3 in the world mu opinion, shred wise Takayoshi far better than Het and Kirk, nobody criticise that. But playing Battery without your arm fell off lol its almost impossible..

It's nothing special, basically he's using his right hand to further bend the string from a lower neck position than he could with just the left hand alone
@Swampster70

He seems to be sliding his left hand up the neck and the right hand damps (stops) any random noise.

just a little flash move. he likes creating little things like that that dont really have a technical purpose but more of a wow-factor. you can understand it better if you play back the video a bit slower.
