After countless hours of supreme D&D entertainment and tens of thousands of dollars donated to charities. That they created a show that's literally changed lives, created marriages and little critter babies, and inspired thousands of people to play D&D for the first time. Myself included. Critical Role is an amazing show and I can't believe it all started here with a bunch of nerdy people playing for themselves at a dining room table and a request for Liam's birthday.

@@deanthompson88 No offense but I disagree. When I picked up the DMG for the first time I read it front and back at least twice so I had the rules ready. I was inspired to pull my creativity out from under the rug, originally wanted to be a game designer, and give DnD a shot for the first time. I made it a goal of mine to be as passionate as Mercer is and it has paid off tremendously. This is all coming from a zero experience player after watching the very first episode live. My point is, go for it. Imitation is a great start to find oneself from other inspiration. Who cares if you get kicked down trying to imitate or play off that style. 2019: Critical Role has recently become fully independent. Their kickstarter for an animated special has surpassed $5,000,000 in just 2 days, far beyond their $750,000 goal and all stretch goals. I'm here now to reflect on how far these wonderful people have come. How the characters they played in this home game are getting their own animated series. Though Orion fell off on their meteoric rise due to some unclear circumstance, they've all maintained this energy of humble excitement, a desire to share a part of themselves and allow people to take a chance on their crazy endeavors. To trust Matt's brain and each of their individual creative hearts to deliver something worthwhile, to much success. Here's to you Critters! and here's to you, Critical Role.

It's something I've mentioned to friends who have wondered why Orion was involved. He was seemingly a good guy who sadly fell off the wagon. He had troubles with addiction and his need for cash to fund that habit led him to do some really bad stuff, while the drugs themselves really brought out the worst in him. Is it forgiveable? That's not up to us, it's up to the people involved. Is it understandable? I think so, he certainly isn't the only person who turned to crime to fund a drug habit. On top of his in game frustration with the way his character's mechanics changed in the switch from Pathfinder to 5E. I found his behaviour on stream often offensive, but it is good, I think, to look at the reasons why, and mourn what could have been, rather than pretending he was always a prick.

I have to say that Critical Role is for me the BEST section in the Geek and Sundry twitch channel (which is saying a lot, cause all G&S content is amazing). You guys are f* fun and I love how well you work together. I've always wanted to see a real D&D session, and being able to watch you every single week going through this adventure is just amazing. Matt is literally a master at what he does and you guys rock your characters. I'd love to know more about what you've all been through, so if you eventually post your complete back story let us know! Thank you for making me happy :P and keep going! Go Vax!!

If they knew what they had begun that day… Cheers to the cast of Critical Role! You have helped, entertained, brought to tears and most importantly created the room for a fantastic community… Even thou corona is doing its thing right now… keep going, if you had not agreed that day, a lot of people would have never known d&d even existed… I read a lot of comments of how you have made it really far… those ones are 2-3 years old now. People will keep visiting this… as the first building block of your dedication then, now and hopefully far ahead… “Can we have themes again?” Oh Ashley…

Totally not judging. I understand diff tastes, but I see so many ppl who "loved" Tiberius. What was it? Personally, he seemed to argue with DM calls a lot, know way more than he should have "in character" like always, powergamed, metagamed... Was somehow a prodigy at whatever made his character "better", as in making bizarre weapons and disliking rolling crafting checks (though Percy rolled for every bullet he made), disliked not being able to Insta train a pet as a non pet class... It seemed predictable that he was removed. Unexpected and disorienting in terms of party makeup and group dynamic at first, but that was just due to being "used" to his presence at first, not because he was all that likeable to me. So legit asking... What was it that made him so compelling for some?
@jimpadgett8233
4 жыл бұрын
@@chipsalom yes the player was problematic, yet the presence of a bumbling Dragonborn Sorcerer who didn't understand sarcasm and clumsily followed the party was a fun and inclusive character!! He was also the only pure spellcaster of the group, making things more immersive as there was a magic user. Obviously it was for the best that he left, yet I do miss Tiberius as a character..
