convinced technology changed grime, radio is dead so no one would listen in to pirate radio. everyone uploads 20 songs to youtube and soundcloud a day, there's no pressing vinyls and pushing one or two songs for a few weeks. there's not enough iconic events occurring either.

@@DaMetalMessiah i feel like a big part is grime losing its key audience, which what made grime so relatable... i.e the kids on the council estates, nowadays grime caters to a very different market, so kids arent growing up on grime at all unless they're white and find stormzy

@@DaMetalMessiah thats exactly what happened. i used to hit pirate radio 1/2/3 times a week. everyone locked in to hear what was hot. we have to go back if we want music to go forward again

jammer is a washed up idiot, trying to re invent himself since LOTM is a flop now but yet gets into arguments on interviews and ruins his public view skepta too busy leaving the scene behind to dress up like kanye west and chill with the muricans, JME is trying to be different aswell but always ends up contradicting his words, doesn't want to fund streaming platforms they are killing the business yadda yadda he says and yet still puts his new album up on apple and spotify etc. kano is a bit quiet now but hes still decent, and ive never really followed lethal B, D double still doing what D double does. cant deny they shaped the scene but now the scene has left them in my opinion apart from kano and D double E

@@Dockhead I mean ofcourse that's your personal opinions which you have every point to argue but at that moment everyone played a crucial part to building the overall house that we now call 'Grime', everyone added something to the table or blueprint so to speak... Therefore still iconic. I can't speak for their actions now, but I can definitely speak for their contributions to the culture.

@@biganttalks4689 true im not dismissing they made what grime is, but now is sort of just as important as back then, id rather still be seen as relevant now instead of a nearly 40 year old dreadlock looking mess giving people lip on there own studio interviews trying to argue your relevant. thats about jammer, in honesty skeptas actions as well as stormzy have shown me grime still is a dead end in a career perspective, sure you get a name for yourself over the country but even Jaykae has said he lacks money and all this shit others have because he didnt want to sign a label and keep it grimey or didnt change up his whole thing, depends all on what you view as successful i guess. the fact drill has took off more quickly than grime ever did, and drill is pretty pathetic when you find out most actual drill artists are living with mom still and flashing kitchen knives and empty snapbags in a tune. grime is grime and sure they made it but its not theirs anymore and we can see by all the variation of talents that pop up almost weekly. jdz media is almost dead, GRM has took so many turns, nobody below the age of 20 knows risky roads anymore. thats my observation.

@@djlunarmcr4414 iTunes, owned by apple. the worst example of what he argues on. i heard he was apparently going to release on spotify, maybe it was just a rumour sorry. sour old grime fan bahaha? rather be that than a licky ass petal. sounds like dickhead realised he vinyls arent going to make much money so has to release shit videos on his manbetterknow channel to hype it. give me a break i used to love the guy but hes just trying to be edgy and different. you can tell it in his new gasworks video he was in constantly pushing the idea, hes just a hippy activist.
