Yeah, don't worry - I won't, LOL. I made the mistake of moving from NC to FL after my wife and I separated - it was like a going back in time as far as peoples' attitudes and the police harrassment. I now have a feel for how The Black Codes and Jim Crow were like. That was nearly the worst 3 years of my adult life and I'll NEVER go to FL again. Eff the deep south - my skin is too dark to ever get a fair shake down there.....

@@TheLaly37 Mississippi in my opinion is just a bad place. They're way behind in the times and most places are just run down and podunk towns. They're extremely republican there. Like Mike Pence kind of republican. It's riddled with trump signs, confederate flags and "The South Will Rise Again" propaganda. There's the "THAT side of town" mentality, "other side of the railroad tracks" kinda stuff. There's a lot of lowkey and blatant racism towards anyone who isn't white and old. It's just not a wholesome place to live.

Black history month is only celebrated in the USA. Why would a black country have the need to celebrate something that is 365? It is not a matter of being black but when will there be the realization that being black is to be celebrated 365!!!! It is a reality for some and a reality for many. People of color should.. daily, love their culture!!!!

It depends on what part of the world you're in. I've seen both. However, it's rare to see in America, especially people with blue-black skin or very white skin, though, I've seen people with extremely white skin in America, usually been from Minnesota. I assume it's because they descend from northern Europe and mostly reproduced with people with similar genes.

Black history month always seemed odd to me. It's human history and should be taught and celebrated all year. Why does one group get singled out for a month? America doesn't do that for every group of people... Why can't we learn about black history in July? Why is it regulated and SEPARATED to Feb?
@Anim1013
Жыл бұрын
Well first off, America does do that for as many people as it can. There is a Native American history month, a Hispanic History month, an Asian American history month, almost every major ethnic group has their own history month in this country. As for why it's in February, it's because February has both Abraham Lincoln's birthday and Frederick Douglas's birthday, 2 very important figures when it comes to African American history.
@boochi7087
Жыл бұрын
I love how you have your answer in your comment but choose to be either willfully ignorant or cognitively dissonant. The reason Feb is black history month is exactly because YOUR America and the majority of white supremacists in power refuse to have this history taught at ALL. Even with black history month, we still can't teach African American studies in FL. Don't fool yourself - you're not that smart.
