This topic favoured the proponent, but the opposition had a more discipline tactics in narrowing the scope of the topic to only discuss the condition of these subsidised houses were sold the last time around.. The proponent I think could bring up the economic side of the argument, such as the available of these houses and their relationship to the overall demand of the housing market and the house price in HK. The opposition's argument suggests the house price is completely unbounded, this is not true. The proponents could also argue building these subsidised flat will not solve all the problems in the HK housing market, but it is an important part of the solution. I think they got suck into the argument that the HK government can only have one solution to resolve the housing crisis by the opposition. But maybe they just dont want to risk bringing other solutions up.
This is a Cantonese debate, why did that man bring up the need to speak better English and Mandarin? Cantonese is the best dialect in the whole world. Everybody should speak it!!!!!
