只需減移民數目到30萬/年,如果平均2人為一個家庭,15萬間房屋已夠新移民用,每年起25-30萬間屋已足夠有餘。另外當樓價下跌,會少咗人投資買樓,需求亦會減低,根本唔係咁難解決。唔解決房屋、醫療問題,不斷畀人移民,只會拉低所有人生活水平。 $1000/尺成本?係咪Vancouver同 Toronto downtown 價錢?唔住市中心唔等於住山旮旯掛?

Vancouver downtown 以外一房5xx 呎大約五十萬左右,都唔使$1000/呎(幾年樓)。講到建築成本要$1000/尺會唔會誇張咗啲?

Two issues that I wanted to share according to my personal experience. 1/ Infrastructure to support new subdivision: condos and single homes in Stouffville where I live are springing up everywhere in town. That puts a lot of burden on water supply and hydro. Residents here have phobia about power failure whenever there is heavy rain or strong winds. Upgrade of water main in the town causes traffic chaos in major intersections. 2/ Planning of construction of new builds - we bought a new house in Quinte West in 2017. After waiting for almost 7 years the completion is hitting the finish line. What causes the delay? Lack of skilled trades workers, Covid that impacted supply chain, financial burden to builders cause by interest rates. The industry needs the government support to produce more skilled workers. All in all, I just wanted to say that each department of the Canadian government works in isolation, without a holistic approach to thoroughly think through the synergy required for any major policy. Not just on immigration policies, but pretty much on anything.

First step to resolve the problems, Liberal Trudeau steps down, Conservative wins the next majority government election, "大爱" needs to be changed to: be realistic, love only if you can afford!
Problem is no one willing to rent out their unit to new immigrants without any work history as well as credit score in Canada holding an open work permit only. Residential board protect tenants only. Who is willing to take the risk especially right now with huge interest rate losing over 1 k per month with rental unit.
