I agree with the leader, I am from Singapore Lion Dance, we often get complaint from neighbors and enforcer will come in. How we have the love for this passion will always get affected. We will need to secretly train in industrial area but we will still train very hard 4 days a week & give give our very best.

Hahahaha.... actually more Singaporean don't even know we have gone for a dragon dance competition n win no 1. So we really don't care. Also we don't understand why all our surroundings countries always want to compare themselves with Singapore. If u are good, no matter where u go, u will shine. So be happy if u win a competition. If u lose, go home practice n do better next year lor.

@tanchengs5502 Why does the need to mention Singapore in the titlle text? Why not just say Malaysia number 1 in Lion Dance? Don't you find it strange?

Malaysians, especially Malaysia Chinese have very serious inferiority complex towards Singapore. They know that they can never beat Singapore in world recognition and wealth. So they will reached climax whenever they win something that the world dun even give a damn shit to.

The more they have little things to be proud of, the more they take pride in the little things. When people have few substantial accomplishments or reasons to be proud, they tend to find pride and satisfaction in the smaller, seemingly insignificant aspects of their lives.

Govt is truly understanding…Lion-Dragon Group don’t hv to apply license. Tats alrdy making it possible for them to practise, carry on.
Definitely, high pole lion dance (performing on poles if 1-3 metres) was invented in malaysia by sifu siow hong phiew back in 1990s. He created the world's first standardised sequence on poles and introduced to the world. Also introduced world championships in lion dancing to encourage the young to take up the art. Hes also a master lion head maker and introduced lighter materials (rattan rather than bamboo) as base for lion heads and introduced Malaysian style motifs as background art. This has been recognised by tourism board and his lion heads are exported worldwide with a stamp from tourism board. Hence people within the field recognised his crafts as 'Malaysian lion heads'. Unique style.
@@rebeccachua6756 Lion dance, which accompanied Chinese immigrants to Malaysia several hundred years ago, used to be organized by different associations and housed in Chinese sports clubs and temples. In the past, clashes and disturbances often occurred when different lion dance troupes met during street processions. Due to its negative reputation, a performance permit was required when performing outside. After the racial riots on May 13, 1969, lion dance performances were banned. It wasn't until 1981, during Mahathir's tenure as the Prime Minister, that the ban was lifted. In 1982 or 1983, the National Lion Dance Competition was initiated at the Ching Wu Stadium. The first appearance of the low-height pole lion dance was in 1983, introduced by the Hing Lok Tong lion dance troupe. In the 1990s, Master Siow Fei Hong introduced the high pole lion dance to the lion dance competition in Hong Kong, bringing global attention to this form. He, along with lion dance groups from Hong Kong and other countries, standardized the high pole lion dance to make it more easily promotable worldwide. Master Siow is not the inventor of the high pole lion dance but rather a pioneer in promoting and standardizing it.
china have to practice twice harder to keeping up in the lion dance competition before our malay and indian friends are surpassing them 😂

Do you mean the English subtitle? Sorry we have no time for this, leaving it auto translated. Please refer to Chinese subtitle if you could. Apologies.
