If you're wondering about this arrangement, Ailie is a wonderful teacher and her arrangements fall very easily under the fingers. Another great arrangement!

Kept my eyes closed to focus on the music. Beautiful! I'll watch the video now. My Grandfather was in the Hebredies so anything with a connection is impt to me. Thanks for Sat. morning treat.❤

This is one of the most beautiful tunes I have ever heard, most likely because of the way you played it.

What a wonderful way to spend three minutes 😍 Because of this video, I just found out the story behind Trevor Morrison recording these lost tunes on piano when he was in a care home. What a story. I hope if you ever have the time they'll be on Patreon one day, Ailie... I also loved Hirta. Thanks for this, have had it on repeat since it was posted x

That was beautiful Allie played with exquisite sensibility and sensitivity. First time I’ve heard this tune so enjoyed that unpredictable melody line that many of the ancient songs have in common. I love to learn this piece!

I love this and the shimmering effects. Can a reverb (and oick-ups) work on a wire-strung harp?

Yes they definitely can Mary - I have a little Ardival wire strung harp (though I'm playing a carbon strung harp here), and it sounds wonderful through a reverb.

Is there an effect being used? The reverb/echo makes it sound like it

There's just a tiny bit of reverb on the harp
