This song is Eurobeat with modern electric dance ambiance thrown in; song is not actually Eurodance and sounds very different from actual 2000s Eurodance: ex. Ravers Fantasy (Basslovers United remix)

Yes, eurobeat is when you beat the girl you brought with you to dance with, but you didnt know they would play eurobeat, so she was under the impressoin that you were going to eurodance, but then once her jaw goes numb and she blacks out, you will get arrested. You will become a telephone (ಠ_ಠ)

In other words many people think of eurodance when they hear the word Eurobeat for the first time, as Eurodance is a more familiar term for many europeans and Americans, and beat is just thought to be the same thing with just a different name. So these two genres are really close to each other like you have mentioned in your comment, but if you listen to some example acts from both genres you'll notice the difference easily. For example The general level for Eurobeat is 155 BPM. But the early days and the modern days have slowed down a bit, and it varies mostly between ~150-160 while as for Eurodance the BMP is 140 but the beat sometimes goes up to 150, and way below 140 as well. The BPM varies from ~130-150. If you listened many Eurobat arranges then you will notice the fact that the vocals in genre are mostly either male or female vocals depending on the act. Also duets and such are seen, but rarely rap. However the singing is done by a female vocalist mostly when you listen Eurodance songs in general and there are extra raps by a male member of the band/group, and that's a basis for eurodance. Music composers usually uses synthesizers in their Eurobeat songs and the typical eurobeat beat are the main elements. Also modern eurobeat uses a lot of classic dancemusic elements. As for Eurodance you get to hear fast 'galloping' beat or these kind of sounds which is one of the key-elements in many of the eurodance songs. Also modern and classic dance sounds used all around. As for the difference in their style; Eurobeat is mostly very bouncy and happy, there are a lot of serious songs as well, but melancholy doesn't just fit eurobeat while Eurodance has a slightly more mature sound to it, the songs have a serious attitude and the songs are rarely 'happy' (PS: do not confuse europop with eurodance for example: Smile.dk). Last but not least Eurodance began in the early nineties and the last proper eurodance acts appeared in around 1998. As for Eurobeat the earliest italo-era years were in the late 80's, and eurobeat is still going on strong. Hope these information helps to enlighten your music knowledge. Have a good day!
