Most young kids need to master the essentials and bodyweight while slowly adding weights - get good at squats, push-ups , pulls , how to hip hinge etc

If any exercise caused a little pain/ tinge in the hips/ ankles would you stop the exercise altogether or lower the reps or weight? *I did notice the tip to move band from ankle to calf of it caused pain that was great. Just wondering for other exercises.

Loaded question there but I always tell my athletes to avoid pain and do a modification or different exercise - never good to force anything
