I was at a Philly club the first time I heard this. I knew nothing about Meek. I'm thinking, Why would the DJ play this slow song and then I saw the crowd of ppl chanting along with so much passion. I was like what the hell is this? And then the beat dropped and I completely understood. Downloaded it immediately. Been a Meek fan ever since.

Philly's Anthem. loved this video. being from South Jersey, i'm in Philly often, whenever a Philly team is in the playoffs. you're GUARANTEED to hear this song. Meek has been in the rap game for a long time, this being his debut album with this single, after a number of amazing mixtapes feels like a firm stomp in rap.

This song is the hood anthem in the club. It's the way the music stars low and continues to build, matched with the content of the lyrics building along with it (starting from the bottom and reaching stardom).

Dad looks at the headphones as if the phonics that’s gonna come from the other end has the potential to take him to a place he has never seen before. Take him on a ride full of twists and turns similar to a roller coaster. The abrupt end to the song is like when the coaster finally hits the air brake and he comes back to reality. I love dads reactions, it’s cool that you guys go on these journeys together! 💯

You guys have listened to Jill Scott, who's also from Philly! In fact, her music video for "A Long Walk" is shot in North Philly, one block from my great-grandmother's house. You can see Dobbins High School (which my dad attended) and the rec center next to the park! Unfortunately, the mural she stands in front of has been painted over, but everything else looks virtually the same! Philly has lots of talent! Jill, Meek, Kobe, Kevin, Will, etc!

From Philly, you should watch a video of this song coming on in bar or club everyone sings this song verbatim. This is kinda like the rap version of that disco song “I will survive” how it builds and switches with two fire beats Lol for the conversation of flows think of nursery rhymes those are kinda like 80% of rap flows, like movies it’s just so much easier to remake an established successful flow then originate your own ….. kinda reason why sampling is so big

@@myname8635 wanna see me fold It’s crazy how people allow media and social media to shape their opinions on dude wins in losses was definitely better than views and they play with that boy numbers. He definitely sold a lot of records, he wasn’t in the good graces of the powers so they try to make him look like a chump with sales and it’s crazy DJ Akademiks drake and Nikki had parts in on it. It was definitely foul play. They were doing dude dirty wins and losses when it came out. Had the craziest rollout with the mini movie and everything not to mention think about everybody who was against him during this time remember when he was in the good graces again each and every last person who had a problem with Meek Mill all of a sudden there was no problem at all the game went as far as calling Meek a rat to sell Albums and the album didn’t even sell not to mention how he went on to say how Meek is his brother and it was just a misunderstanding. How convenient was that remember he got locked up for popping a wheelie and sentenced to 2 to 4 years that doesn’t just happen that happened when he went on Jimmy Fallon, and dead young black America and then told the world that the US government is trying to start a race war and told us not to fall for it. They put that in niggga and shackles real quick.
