I have been interested in the way how Owen Suskind learned languages and vocabulary to communicate with Disney films. And I finally found this video. That’s an awesome clip. I am Japanese and I’ve lived in Kawasaki, Kanagawa for three decades. I’m now imitating him to able to speak English better. I’ve benefited from the method of Owen. I’m always inspired by him. To conclude this message, I appreciate you for giving us this helpful and heartwarming video, @ABC News.

In case there's other Autism parents seeing this, a small message. *Try everything you can that doesn't risk side effects!* They (therapist, case workers, etc) don't like to talk about optimum outcomes too much (I'm guessing they don't want to get people's hopes up? IDK) but it's VERY possible ESP with early intervention. You just NEVER know WHAT may be the thing that can serve as a means of communication. It's probably not going to come easy of finding out what that may be but when you feel like "this isn't going to work", try it anyway bcuz it just might ESP things that don't require medicine like music therapy or water therapy or the horseback riding thing or like this story. Good luck to you.

@@fairymairah depends on the person with autism some people with autism can function very well and make their own decisions and do stuff like everyone else. And some people on the other side of the spectrum are nonverbal and are very severe autistic and they might or do need a lot of care or help. It depends. And some people are in the middle between the two ends. I'm not saying this to be rude or anything I myself am also autistic and experience autistic symptoms myself. But I do agree that no matter how high functioning or severe the person or whatever disorder or handicap it is they should be treated with respect as people too.
