@Mug_Tea_Coffee HOW much work is the question... I would like to see some housewives go out and do some of the jobs their husbands do, and do honest comparisons... what is the risk of death or injury staying at home compared to working dangerous jobs? Will they be able to perform the same? Why is OUR bodies used against us, while you complain about men using womens bodies against them? This is all a distraction to get us at each others throats while the real tragedies continue to happen to Palestine and ALL OVER THE WORLD...
@moviezaftermidnight6348

@Mug_Tea_Coffee You make it sound like raising a child is the most difficult thing in the world.. when in actuality the work of the "housewive" staying at home raising the family has only gotten easier over time with devices & luxuries like indoor plumbing to dishwashers, ETC... So much so that some of you decided that you even have enough time to have your own jobs.. which by the way is when the economy started buckling... underbidding for positions and then complaining about being paid less... Traditionally we used to live as "homesteads" that either developed "agriculturally" or didn't. Where all roles were shared but still our "physical & mental" attributes tended to dictate what kind of "chores" we did... Not to mention how many men have sacrificed themselves so that we can now live in what ever we call this as a "free" society, while defending against attacks from invading forces and such... Personally I have avoided women for the most part of my life because I can't stand the Misandry... sooner or later it always shows up, then you call it "menopause", more like "Men No Pause"...
@moviezaftermidnight6348

@Mug_Tea_Coffee who said it isn't work? Why do you think we developed dishwashers, laundry machines and the rest of them to reduce your workload? The way this video is projecting narratives is offensive... and then you projecting me saying something that I never said... I never said it wasn't work, yet you keep hammering away as though I did... and then wonder why we can't stand you...

When I take care of the kid on weekends, I can't even get a proper toilet break without the child bugging me. Can't even have lunch/dinner because to cook and feed the fussy toddler. Can't even rest my eyes for one minute cos he will be touching something dangerous or climbing the furnitures dangerously. Going to work is easyyy.. hahaha. I can take long toilet breaks, eat in peace, and even go gym during lunchtime wahaha.

To be honest, i'm quite shocked at some of the husbands attitude toward childcare and house chores. It's like they get married, becoming a husband, have all the fun bringing kids into the world and once the baby is brought into the world, they never bother on the aspect of child rearing or sharing resonsibility with the wife especially working mum. Both party agreed to start a family hence both party needs to take accountability and same level of responsibility in bringing up their kids. The dad should be more proactive in helping rather than just sitting waiting for instructions. This is also the reason why so many woman decided to stay single and not wanting to have babies. It's good that there is this series that helps dad understand child rearing and house chores isnt easy task.

No right? So why should there be "Mum" Specifically? I dont think its very fair to all the working and parenting fathers out there to see their efforts being unrecognised but the things that the mother do is the same and are recognised. Dont get me wrong, i love and respect my mom, but fathers also help? If there is give mom a break, is there a "Give Dad a break?". I doubt so. Mental labour , invisible labour! My hubby often says it’s easy to do, coz he only does the “mechanical task”, while I feel overwhelmed. The invisible labour of researching, planning, scheduling, post-task followup. As Dawn put it, project manage and have to flow through to close the loop. Multiply that by a no. of people in the household!

I'm glad this is being addressed but to be honest, it's also about finding the right partner who gets what it means to be all-in. Your kid has to know that both parents are reliable. Sure, each parent can fulfill different needs, but if the child is always looking to one person because that's the only person who knows what's going on...that's not joint parenting. My husband and I split parental leave (which I realise may not be available everywhere). I literally knew less about caring for babies than he did. I'm not here to raise our child and a man-child.

It is important to check the child's growth, speech patterns, responsiveness, eating patterns and much more to detect any problems with the child early on. Life was simpler back then because people have birth without researching and had limited tools and knowledge about parenting physically and emotionally. Back then and even today any abnormality, neglect in the child or their behaviour would give society free pass to point all their fingers at the mother as to why they couldn't parent their kid better. People like you always have something to say. I agree with the education part though.

Due to communication difficulties as grandparents might speak different dialects they have a massive gap between grandchild. So sad . I think you missed the point. All featured familes are dual income households where both parties work. The point is to show that even in dual income homes, caretaking is disproportionately the wife's responsibility. You can't possibily deny that. That is the reality of most households here. Your job as a parent does not end at making money and throwing it at your kid. Most fathers today do try to help but their dads probably never did. So besides their partner and their mom, they don't have any role models. So they default to taking the backseat. But parents should be equals. Yes men today are way better than their fathers ever were when it comes to caretaking but it doesn't hurt to try and be even better so that the current generation of boys can grow up to be even better fathers.
