Thanks for sharing Dr. Rosenbladt and Ted! The hiddenness of law preaching is pernicious everywhere.

I've always been adamantly against the idea of Total Depravity, due to it being painted in a way that made it seem like even though we can't do good, we have the same weight of responsibility and shame as if we could in fact do good. This video makes me see it in a different light now though so thank you 🙂

YES... I agree the results will be amazing. God will have to do this. I grow weary and you guys help me to keep talking about this as best I can. I do feel totally misunderstood most of the time however. And pray for reformation!!

Since I am dead in sin, how could I repent (clean myself up) this way, -- the usual meaning of repent? What a disastrous and miserable situation. Old Adam won't and in fact cannot repent according to this well-known and accepted meaning. Scripture is becoming more clear listening to you guys, Thank you.

Beautifully said as always! The American individualism has infected our Churches with this "decision theology" that isn't biblical. Rod and Ted have always preached that Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Not Jesus as my life coach. If Christians would trust the message that its all Christ (throw out the synergism) these decision theology Churches would be history. John 3:30 He (Jesus) must increase and I (old Adam) must decrease. Not 25% but completely 100% decrease.

Gods standard is perfection. We cannot do perfection. The word is "do". Jesus did it, He ascended, He has hidden your life in Him therefore you have risen and ascended in Him because of Him through and by Him. As He is now seated (rested) so are you so let go and let Christ. Trust in Christ and His Finished perfect work and Him alone. Couldnt resist, the gospel is Christ, you cant do the gospel, its been done for you. 🙏🏼

I would really like to look up that Pew Research study he referenced. What’s the title of it?

This is de facto universalism. The ultimate sin is unbelief itself. Taking this extreme doctrine to its logical conclusion, Christ will save anybody and everybody, regardless of what they believe.

@AJTramberg Are you referencing any part of our episode in particular? As Dad has always said, "We believe Christ died for the sins of the world, and yet hell will be populated with sinners." Dad is clear that credit for our salvation belongs to God, and credit for damnation belongs to those sinners who have rejected Jesus Christ - which correlates to Dad's comments about how we only have 'free will' in a negative sense.

I don't hear any "regardless of what they believe" in this discussion, which refutes the notion that those who believe that they can trust in their own righteousness and have no need to rely totally on Christ's righteousness imputed to them by grace through faith will benefit from Christ's active and passive righteousness on their behalf.

@@sarco64 And in our other episodes, it's not hard to find us explicitly confessing salvation comes only through Jesus Christ. Thus my question about what part of our content in any way implies a universalist position. We are most certainly not universalists. If that's what some consider 'extreme doctrine', so be it.

@@tedrosenbladt9976 Sadly, it seems that in today's American Evangelicalism, the notion that we don't have to do our part to contribute to our justification is often considered to be 'extreme doctrine.'

@@sarco64 Someone should help educate people, say... with a podcast, and help fight that very old idea so that the good news of Christ's Gospel seems less extreme. 🤔
