Never heard of Joni Mitchell doing it. Who Knows Where the Time Goes was written and performed by the late great Sandy Denny and remains the definitive version.

Some people below are asking what the original tunings were - and not getting answers. SO: Sandy Denny in a duet with Richard Thompson played it (strumming the chords) in standard tuning, with Thompsons electric accompaniment also in standard. But Richard Thompson plays it solo acoustic in CGDGBE, which should be checked out...

No. It wasn't Joni Mitchell, who doesn't do cover tunes. It was Judy Collins.

Hi. The song may be easy to do if one plays in DADGAD tuning all the time, but if you are going to refer to this as a tutorial, you should at least post the names of the various chords used in the song, if not actually go through them in the video.
