They sell fuse jumpers so you can plug the dash cam right into the 12 volt lighter fuse spot. You just have to wire it to the dash cam wire. Your mom is Lame had to return a WRX! LOL. JK she's just looking out for your safety and probably knew you would build a street racer. LOL now you can.... but you're behind on the learning curve for manual now. I learned how to drive in a manual car. I try to drive in manual paddle shift mode as much as possible to remember rpm management and good shifting points it allows me to rev higher in the CVT. automatic transmissions and CVTs shift up too quickly and down too slowly for fuel economy, except maybe the higher end sports car transmissions like the 10r80 and the ones in a corvette. I like to get to the top end of rpms in the torque curve faster, better acceleration that way. Again most enthusiast vehicles these days are designed to rev out. you're doing great just make sure the rpms are higher and don't let them drop between gears. Feather that gas between gears to better rev match, you are letting up too much on the gas between gears. This is especially true when anyone is downshifting. 6th gear is for cruising at 70-80 MPH. Stay in first and second gear longer up to 3500 rpm, again doing great and keep it up. You can practice driving with minimal brake input letting the gearing slow you down that way you can stay on the gas when upshifting and downshifting. Eventually you will learn heel toe so you can brake and manage rpms at the same time. People say "rev matching" but the clutch actually does this a lot already for the most part you just need to be near rpm match. Really old cars just ground gears if you were bad at actual rev matching. The new auto rev matching in modern cars are for people who don't really know how to drive an OG manual. I think it's an engineering solution to the knuckle heads who destroy clutches transmissions and engines and blame the car instead of learning how to operate the machine properly. I don't know, I'm torn on the new auto rev matching in that it probably saves wear and tear on parts even for people that know what they are doing. so...yeah I'm torn on the issue. Keep up the good work. Happy driving!
