Guru Stuti:
Yasya saksat bhagavati jnanadipap-prade gurou
martya saddhih srutam tasya sarvam kunjara sauchavat
(He who bestows knowledge, i.e. the Guru, is God Himself. One who thinks Guru to be an ordinary human, may follow all sorts of methods to go to God, but all his actions (austerities, penance, charity etc.) are as useless as an elephant’s bath.)
Esa vai bhagavan saksat pradhana purusesvarah
yogesvarair vimrgyan ghrir lokoyam manyate naram
(Guru is God Himself, who is the Governor of Maya and the individual souls. The greatest yogis desire the foot dust of such a GuruÊs lotus feet, but ignorant people think Him to be ordinary.)

Krishna’s Glory by Adi Shankaracharya:
Yamuna nikata tatasthita vrindavana kanane maharamye
kalpad-drumatala bhumou charanam charano paristhapya
(Inside a very beautiful flowery grove in Vrindavan, on the bank of River Yamuna, Lord Krishna is sitting underneath the Kalp Tree (desire- fulfilling tree), with one leg crossed over the other.)
Tisthantam ghana nilam svatejasa bhasa yantamiha visvam
pitambara paridhanam chandana karpura lipta sarvamgam
(His complexion, blue like a rain-bearing cloud, illumines the world with its luster. His body is anointed with a paste made of camphor and sandalwood, and He is wearing yellow silky garments.)
Akarna purna netram kumdala yuga mamditas-sravanam
mandasmita mukha kamalam sakoustubhodara maniharam
(His captivating large eyes appear to almost reach His ears, and His ears are adorned with earrings. He is wearing necklaces made with precious gems like ‘Kaustubh’. There is a very gentle smile on His lotus face.)
Valayam guliya kaddya nujjvala yantam svalankaran
galavilulita vanamalam svatejasa pasta kalikalam
(The Supreme Lord is wearing a ‘vanmala’ (garland made of tulsi, kund, mandara, parijat and lotus flowers). Such is the luster of His divine body that it is enhancing the splendor of His bracelets, rings and other ornaments. This transcendental luster is destroying the darkness of Kaliyug.)
Gunjara vali kalitam gunja punjanvite sirasi
bhunjanam saha gopaih kunjan tarvartinam namata
(His curly black locks embrace His head like twining creepers, and the humming bees attracted by these vines of love are further enhancing the scene. Lord Krishna is sitting in the groves,
sharing food with His playmates, the cowherd boys.)
Mamdara puspa vasita mandanila sevita paranandam
mandakini yuta padam namata mahanandadam mahapurusam
(Visualize Shri Krishna, the embodiment of bliss. He is being fanned by the gentle breeze made
fragrant by the ‘mandaar’ flowers, and His Lotus Feet are being served by the celestial river Ganga.)
Surabhi krta digvalayam surabhi satairavrtah paritah
surabhi tiksapana mahasura bhimam yadavam namata
(His Divine fragrance is pervading all the four directions. Meditate on Him who is surrounded by
thousands of cows, even more beautiful than the celestial cow ‘Kamdhenu’. Meditate on the Prince of the Yadu dynasty, who drives away the fear of the gods and who instills fear in the heart of the demons.)

Glory of Guru’s Abode:
Dhani guruvar dham nivas suno man punnyan punj som paiye ju
bani din prapann raho guru ke, nit seva som tahi rijhaiye ju
(O my mind! You have been blessed with residence in the Divine abode Mangarh as a result of many lifetimes of virtuous actions. Take advantage of this great fortune by surrendering to your Guru and serving Him wholeheartedly.)
Mana te hari ko guru ko sumiro rasana som sada gun gaiye ju
ksan-bhamgur jivan jani mana ksan hum jani vyarth gamaiye ju
(Meditate on God and Guru at all times, and sing songs of Their glory. Realizing the human life to be temporary, resolve not to waste even a single moment.)
Sab dhaman varo vrindavan pai aur vrindavan hum guru dham pai varo
jo guru ke pad priti juri to, bhajyo chali avego brahm bicharo
(Amongst all holy places, Vrindavan reigns supreme. But such is the importance of the Guru’s abode that on it even Vrindavan can be sacrificed. Lord Krishna comes running to the devotee who is attached to his Guru’s lotus feet. )
Haim hari nirmal bhaktan ko, guru haim adhamom ko udharan haro
auran ko guru hom ya na hom guru mero kripalu subhag hamaro
(The Supreme Lord accepts pure-hearted devotees, whereas the Guru delivers the fallen souls. (This is why the Guru has been called even greater than God!) Whether or not He is anyone else’ Guru, I sacrifice my all on my greatest fortune that has brought Shri Kripalu Mahaprabhu as my Guru.)
