Dalcha is an Indian lentil based stew originating from Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It may have its origins with a similar Middle Eastern dish hares which is more of a porridge with cooked meat. The primary ingredients are lentils, can be chana dal or sometimes tur dal. Vegetable or meat, chicken or mutton both can also be added to the stew, so if mutton is added it will be called mutton dalcha. Lauki is another major ingredient of Dalcha. 800 ml oil

2 tbsp Fennel
1.5 tbsp black cumin
8-10 cinnamon
18-20 cloves
13-15 Green cardamom
5-5 Black cardamom
3-4 mace
25-30 black pepper
3-4 star anise
1250grm onion
500grm tomato
18 tbsp ginger garlic paste
11 tbsp coriander powder
6 tbsp Red chilli powder
3 tbsp turmeric powder
3 tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder
3 tbsp chaat masala
