RECIPE
Ingredients For Finish Bitterness:Bitter Gourd (karela)Half Kg
Salt(Namak)1 tsp
Turmeric (Haldi)Powder Half tsp
Vinegar (Sirka)1 tbs
Ingredients:
Split Bengal Gram (Chana Dal)q Cup
Water(Pani)As Required
Salt(Namak)Half tsp
Oil(Tail)As Required
Onions (Piaz)2 Large
Ginger Garlic (Adrak Lehsan)1tsp
Tomato (Tamatar)2 Medium
Salt(Namak) Half tsp
Turmeric (Haldi)Powder Half tsp
Chilli Flakes (Kuti Mirch)Half tsp
Red Chilli (Lal Mirch)Powder Half tsp
Cumin Seed (Zeera)Powder Half tsp
Coriander (Dhania)Powder
Yogurt (Dahi)3 tbs
Green Chilli(Sabz Mirch)2 Or 3 Piece
Fennel Seed (Sonf)Half tsp
Fresh Coriander (Sabz Dhania)Leaves As Required
DIRECTION:
Peel and deseeded Bitter Gourd then cut into pieces.In a Bowl add Bitter Gourd, Salt, Turmeric Powder and Vinegar mix it and apply very well then let to rest for 15 to 20 minutes, After 15 to 20 minutes wash thoroughly 3 to 4 times,Squeeze out axcess water and dry.In a Pot add Soaked Chana Dal, water and Salt cover it and cook on low flame,After 25 to 30 minutes Chana Dal is t 90 percent tender.Take a Karahi add Oil when Oil heated then add Bitter Gourd and fry well when Bitter Gourd fried then take it out.In same Oil add Onion and fry well when Onion translucent then add Ginger Garlic Paste fry it then add Tomatoes mix it and also add Salt,Turmeric Powder, Chilli Flakes,Red Chilli Powder, Cumin Seed Powder and Coriander Powder mix all the Spices then add Tender Dal in it mix well and cook.After 1 or 2 minutes then add Fried Bitter Gourd mix well then add Yogurt mix well and cook on low flame then add Green Chilli and Fennel Seed Powder cover it and cook on low flame for 10 minutes.After 10 minutes Dal Karele is ready for Serve.
