The Robo men theme used to honestly terrify me as a kid

I always found it too goofy, there was something really comical about how they depicted them. Especially during that scene they have to all eat and Tom has to try and fit in.

I strongly agree. Most movie critics in America, (where I come from) critisize these sort of cheesy films that turned out very great.

R.I.P Bernard Cribbins who played Tom Campbell in this classic film and eventually Wilfred Mott in the Revived Series of Doctor Who roughly forty years later.

Before now, I never thought I would be hearing Jazz in a Dalek suite. It strangely fits though.

If this had been as successful as the first film, we would have gotten a film series of Dalek films.

Probably a trilogy IMHO. I can't see that they'd have tried tackling The Daleks' Master Plan, on account of it's sheer length. But a remake of The Chase would have been cool.

@@michaeltownley9144a remake of the chase was on the cards for a third, however the poor box office numbers of the second meant a third movie was canned There was a one off special in DW magazine, in 1996, which brought back Peter Cushing as Dr. Who, where the crew lands TARDIS on mars, and helps the native Martians use a sphinx to repel a dalek task force. It was called “Daleks Vs Martians”

Any one else reminded a little bit of Nelson Riddle's music for the "Batman" TV series?

Didn't know The Daleks took music cues from Tom and Jerry!

Don't you mean the Carry on films? lol, but seriously, I quite like this music, it's of its time.
I expect either Pink Panther or Inspector Clouseau to appear in the movie everytime I listen to this music... 🤣

Just to show how much TV has changed, parts of the violence was edited out when i watched it on TV as a kid (late 70s) I do like these movies, but i liked the series episodes better-especially with Susan leaving to get married at the end (the series Susan was supposed to be in her late teens (as opposed to a tween) Of course, why a Time Lord (time lady?) would marry a human is a bit wonky, but hey, maybe they were ahead of their time since the more modern Doctors have romantic feelings for the human companions

I'm not sure they'd settled on her being a Time Lady at that stage. They created a lot of the 'history' as they went along especially after they decided to regenerate their Doctors.
