I love the cowboy hat look for an alter ego for your many faceted personality!!! And yes Jenn, the Ewing's all lived in the same house except Gary n his wife, who had a spinoff show of their own called Knott's Landing!!!! My friend Roseanne, who went to school with my sister, Linda, who is two years younger than myself, used to get together on Thursday nights at 10pm every week to watch our favourite show, Knott's Lansing!!!! Those were the great old days in the 1980's!!!!!! Really miss them. Thank you for the walk down memory lane this 🌆 evening!!!

Larry Hagman (J.R.) was born in Ft. Worth, TX, about an hour from Dallas and raised in Dallas. He was cremated and his ashes scattered at South Fork Ranch.

For the most part they all lived at South Fork. But when Bobby Ewing married Pamela Barnes, they eventually moved to their own home. Jock Ewing played by actor Jim Davis who passed away in 1981, producers chose to end his character on the show. The original house was not as glamorous and high end as the house in your video. The shot of the front side of that house was distinctively different. The prominent gable facade in the original house was not stucco, the original was built with siding. All in all I enjoyed the video!

You should go to a hat shop and have a cowboy hat fitted and shaped. It would make a good video. You have to find a traditional hat shops that uses the steam and everything to shape the hat though. Shouldn’t be too hard in Texas though.

My sister watched every single episode of Dallas back in the day😂 I could not remember if it was j.r. or his brother Bobby that was brought back from the dead in a dream 😂 but my sister told me it was Bobby, Patrick Duffy. I was more into watching the spin off show Knots Landing of which I think was filmed in Palos Verdes here in California. So next time you're here in California Jacob, you need to do a Knots landing film location video ❤ So, I just looked it up and the cul-de-sac they used in Knots landing was actually in Granada Hills California.

Awesome one here, Jacob. Glad ya got to see South Fork, So awesome that you were so close to my neck of the woods. Hope you really enjoyed it. I grew up in the 80s, my dad worked in downtown Dallas, and when they were on location, he'd either tell us about it every time, or take some pictures, or (if he knew ahead of time) he'd bring us to his work so we could watch from afar the goings on of the filming (which normally was only a scene or 2 of the main cast at a location in downtown Dallas standing around for hours....). But hey, "There's J.R." "Who?" "Major Nelson from I Dream of Jeanie, ya idiot!" "Oh okay, cool." It was always a kick to watch the opening titles and see the building my dad worked in. Like it's "his" building or something. But it seemed that way for us kids back then. Okay - memories are flooding in....Gotta shut the comment factor down now. Thanx for this upload. Until the next one, Take Care, my friend.

My favorite show. Didn't miss an episode. In fact it almost had a cult following, so much so that when JR was shot it was the cliff hanger that ended the season. The following season opener was so anticipated it even made the newscasts. No spoilers like today. Those were the days! Same thing happened with the "lost" season where Bobby was killed. They don't make shows like that anymore.

You would look good in the right fitting cowboy hat that’s been shaped properly those hats were not shaped all the way yet. A lot of places will use steam and such and shape the hat once you buy it. That’s the real Texas experience going to a hat shape and having a hat fitted and shaped. I think you should do that and get one with a southwestern pattern band like the one you put on in this video. It would be a cool experience to record for sure!
