The great Larry Hagman was just super. The entire world loved him in the Dallas show. I'm from Arlington, TX and his general origins are from close by. To those around here that knew him said his mannerisms, speech, and way of getting around was just like his performance on Dallas. The only difference was that he was just a good 'ole boy and not a mean-spirited fellow at all. We miss him. R.I.P., fellow Texan.

Dallas could never have been the success it was without the man people loved to hate so much, J.R. Ewing and the actor who played him, Larry Hagman, who it seems in real life was a totally opposite character to the villainous J.R. Still, it was great to see him get his comeuppance in this clip from the show, being punched in the pool by his brother Bobby. I loved this show. I began watching it at the age of 11 in 1978!! I watched it all the way through after I had graduated from college. About a year ago, I "binge-watched" the entire series on my Firestick. What I personally find amazing, is that even in these days of the TV Series being Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, Better Call Saul, Dallas still holds up amazingly well. That says a great deal for the producers, writers, cameramen, editors, directors, and actors involved. It's very interesting how perception changes with age though!! Watching Dallas the second time around as a fifty-something man, I didn't realize what an ass Jock was. One can see how Ray is probably more like Jock in some ways than any of his brothers. When he breaks up Bobby and JR, he ALWAYS sounds like Jock did when he broke them up! I didn't grasp just how great of a guy Clayton was. It's a character I wish that I actually knew. Years ago, I thought the only attractive woman was Pam and that Mandy Winger that JR messed around with. Now? Sue Ellen, Donna, Holly (way hot), Sly, Jenna, and many more are WAY hot! Sue Ellen is particularly attractive at times, when I didn't feel that way AT ALL long ago. Lucy? Then or now...Nope. LOL. It's an awesome series that I will likely binge-watch again down the road.

All offense: Bobby would have been the only one justified in killing JR. The fact that, in the end. Bobby still ended up running the company was poetic justice. I met the late Larry Hagman one year at DragonCon because he was also in _I Dream of Jeanne_ . I got to tell him how good an actor he was. We shared a moment. Me. _You were great both as Tony Nelson and J.R. Ewing, Mr. Hagman._ Him. *You wanted to be friends with Tony and you wanted to knock J.R.'s teeth down his throat, didn't you?* Me: _Yes, sir._ Him. *That's the best compliment, son.*
