Ive got mule hide under my rubber dally wrap. I think it’s a good thing because if you burn through the rubber wraps, you’ve got an extra barrier between the rope and the horn.

That does help. A lot of people even go old school and use one of the strands of an old 3-strand cotton lead rope.

Will it be okay to use dally wrap if my horn is a bit thin?

Crazy Craft3r you wanna make sure that your using an actual roping saddle if you're talking about a thin such as a barrel saddle then that's not a good idea

As someone who spent a lot of time dalling on a slick horn with a long rope, and a lot of time roping tied off, taking your turns on rubber is, in a way, the worst of both worlds. A poor compromise. And yet, it's what I do now every day. Just saying.
