It's unbelievable to see at which level of perfection Dan is operating live. It's not the fastest or most technical shit you can find out there, but his dynamics and timing are as tasty as it gets. With a good amount of practice, I might be able to play this song - but never in a hundred years would it sounds as good as from Mr. Presland. That being said, why do people hang a GoPro around a drummer's neck? It's just a very unspectacular perspective that adds nothing to a performance video, ever :)

Extreme music drummers (deathcore) are, generally speaking, in a league of their own but Dan rises above even their level of technicality. He's extreme music's Danny Carey. No one else has his level of sublime creativity. The full band version of this performance is amazing as well; recommended!

All members of this band are amazing musicians. Ne Obliviscaris are bad ass! Dan's chops are on point! What impresses me more than his technique is his use of dynamics and progressing the song with all kinds of grooves. He's so creative with those grooves and accents. Their songs are very long but I don't get bored at all listening to them there's so much coolness going on it pulls me in.

But a mandatory technique all drummers use and especially those fast dudes is what else than the Moeller technique and can't do else !!
