Thanks Dave, looking forward to putting the station lights on. Thanks for the tip with the painting, thought about doing that at first too. I'm really starting to like those Metcalfe kits!

Thanks very much, Dan. This is of great help. I bought a brick platform kit a while ago, but haven't dared to start it for fear of making a pig's ear of it.

Thanks Adrian, they are really fun to make and once you make the first one you get the hang of it. My advice would be to put as many supports under the platform (the platform strengtheners) as you can, as otherwise over time the platform surface gets dips in it from buildings and footbridges etc. Cheers :)

Thanks Les, I'm certainly looking forward to some of that warmer weather (although not good that you guys get the cold!) I really like those kits, very realistic. The edging tape comes with the kit which is good. Cheers, Dan

Hi Dan. My email server was out until now today or I would have commented earlier. Great looking platform and very good explanation of how it goes together. The center platform waiting rooms and canopy looks really good too. Nice "how to".

hi.. please what is the length & the height of the brick edging? as I was thinking of making the platform out of wood and then covering it with this..

Hi Paul, I think they are 18mm high and close to 300mm long, but unfortunately I don't think you can buy them from Melcalfe seperately. They do supply a good A4 size brick sheet thinner cardboard that you could cut to size and glue onto the wood perhaps? Cheers, Dan
