I had a personal incident with Spivey back in Nassau (Bahamas) when I was about 20 in 1989. We were at a bar named Waterloo and I was standing behind Spivey and Johnny Ace aka John Laurinitis, the former WWE executive and brother of Road Warrior Animal and uncle of the NFL's Jim Laurinitis. I was 5 foot 6 and about 145 pounds at the time. Anyway Laurinitis pinches Spivey's ass from behind and Spivey turned around to see yours truly standing there. We were on a wooden patio about 8 feet off the grass and the look Spivey gave me was not good. This man was a foot taller than me and about 150 pounds heavier and a trained wrestler. I was thinking I cannot escape in this crowd. Laurinitis must have realized something bad was going to happen and his conscience kicked in and he confessed before Spivey grabbed me. I was not a happy camper and am still pissed 32 years later at "Johnny Ace", douchebag.

I watch/ read too much of these to bookmark stuff, but you should be able to find a Skyscrapers vs Road Warriors match on here. Mark was green at the time & Dan didn't like the way the RW's were taking liberties with Marc during the match. Dan's chair shots on them were allegedly legit hits. From another wrestler's account, Dan confronted them post match in the locker room & the RW's backed down. What's questionable about Dan's account here though is that he claimed busted Adrian up in ring. Other shoots on here from B.Brian Blair & Wayne ( HTM ) among others, claimed that Dan confronted Adrian in the locker room about how stiff he was. Adrian charged him a couple times until Dan left hooked him so hard on the side of his face that Adrian's cheek bone was sticking out.

@@jasonmichael3676 You're correct! Spivey is all talk. He got one off on Adrian in the locker room and with that he tells a ton of tall stories. The Dark Phantom from New Mexico cracked him a good one down in Florida and Spivey ran off behind some cars hiding like a coward.

The place they were trying to recall in the beginning of this segment was Brantford, Ontario . The Channel 11 CHCH TV tapings in the early - mid 1980's were done at the Brantford Civic Center . Adrian Adonis was quite the wrestler in the early days ( AWA ) with Jesse Ventura . I don't know what happened to him in later years but it was embarrasing, to say the least .

@@codetwister The weekly show was known as " Maple Leaf Wrestling " which used Brantford, Ontario as a base . On the program, they did feature a few bouts which were taped a month or two ago from Copps Coliseum or Maple Leaf Gardens . Usually shown last , edited like crazy. The first one I saw ( from MLG ) was in 1972 with Carlos Rocha . Believe it or not, I was on camera once for one taped at MLG in 1981 ! I had lower Golds near the ramp .

I think it is interesting how many of the big brute wrestlers like WWE Warlord are some of the nicest guys in the business you will ever meet.. Many of the smaller guys are not nearly so nice.
