AC LEDs ... no there is no such thing. They use diodes to direct the AC. Its the cheapest method to drive LEDs but you will see the flickering, thats why it is not done like that for example in ceiling lights

How are they doing it without a bridge rectifier though? I didnt see enough diodes in there. Definitely was puzzling!

LEDs are diodes, so if you run them in inverse parallel, or they are somehow able to take the reverse voltage, they can run on AC. I'll have to re-watch the video though to see if either could be the case @@SegasonicfanDesigns
