I'm lucky enough to have been over to the Isle of Man twice (going back next year). The TT is an amazing event, but on top of that, the Manx people are so welcoming and friendly. Yes, the race is incredibly dangerous, but that's a secret to no one. The riders treat fans like family, and visiting as a spectator will have you making friends from around the world, and wanting to come back every year. I watched this video The first time it was uploaded with a huge smile on my face, recognizing so many places I've been. I'll be bringing 4 friends with me next year, and I can't wait to see my second family up in Ramsey!

The fatalities in the Isle of Man TT are approximate 132 per 10,000 starts. Every year the fatalities of US motorcycle riders are approximately 60 per 10,000 registered motorcycles. Maybe 60 minutes should focus on that. That's an alarming number.

The isle is a dream trip to be a spectator. I will honestly weep when I make it. The freedom of a motorbike is unparalleled. The experience of doing that at the highest level where you have to be absolutely perfect to the point that one more pound of pressure with your index finger could cost you at a minimum your bike and broken bones on up to Heaven is just that……..Heaven. The best rides are when you can do no wrong. Some call it the zone some call it finding the flow. When I find that state I actually don’t remember the ride! For me personally I believe my subconscious takes control because even though I’m physically exhausted but mentally I am as refreshed as if I had slept and so full of excitement. I miss the days of riding in my soul. God speed to all that have perished chasing their dreams. Hope to see some of you at the isle one day!!

The TT is a throwback to how racing was done many years ago: a minimum of rules, safety was the responsibility of the racers, and the fastest guy won. The few remaining F1 drivers from the 1960's can tell you that they were aware of the dangers and understood that they practiced on Friday, qualified on Saturday, raced on Sunday, and attended the funerals throughout the next week, but then they all showed up to practice the next Friday.

That’s a stereotypical statement of an American racer would make, someone passionate about maybe nascar, TT is another league of racing…. Racing in this demographic doesn’t grant it happens always in a weekends, weather can push qualifying more over a weekend

@@stevennagley3407 You completely misread what I've said. I'd rather watch the TT than NASCAR. NASCAR has become a business plan gone awry, just like formula one. It's all about the money, the TV revenue, the advertising, not about racing. Racing today takes place in courtrooms, not on race tracks. I became interested in racing back in the 1960's after my parents took the family to see the movie 'Grand Prix'. I saw racing as a sport where teams built a car that sacrificed everything for speed, including safety and it was up to the driver to operate the machine safely. Dan Gurney built his Mk1 Eagle out of extremely flammable Magnesium sheet that surrounded a leaky rubber fuel bladder that surrounded the driver. Its suspension arms were fabricated of springy Titanium. Dan said the car handled like a rubber band and that he felt as though he was driving a Ronson cigarette lighter. But Dan won races in that car. Save for the TT, racing is a sanitized, homogenized, dumb-down version of what it once was.

And it right CUZZ USA is only 250 years old! And then we have Denmark and it’s 2 million years old!! And then we have Pakistan that only are 80 years old
Of course nothing compares to Aisle of Mann. The riders have a batter chance of surviving 100 wing suit jumps than they do surviving racing 10 races . I hope people dont get the wrong impression about motorcycle racers. Yes they are adrenaline focused and yes theres a much higher probability of injury racing bikes, but as limited as they are in there ability to calculate probabilities, 90 percent of them would never ever ever take a bike to this place.

Keeping their own, very unique language is soo cool. Seeing them teaching adolescents is key because they grasp new language so easily. Once we are mid way thou life learning anything new, especially a language,, is challenging. Most of us - especially motorheads - have heard of "The Isle of Man TT" and watched videos in utter amazement. We cannot imagine what it must feel like to drive a motorcycle at speeds approaching 200mph along the curvy streets and roads of The Isle. Huge respect for all who join the race.
