Thank You Greg for your stories, I'm now 68 and I have hundreds of them myself, no need to verify them does not matter what others think of them, you were there and they are your memories.

Twenty years ago, in my late 40's, I had a bear encounter in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I was staying in a deer camp, cooking at the campfire. I heard something and turned to see a black bear scratching himself on a tree. Like an idiot, I called out to him/her, and it froze and then started walking toward me. I stood up, frozen in fear, and it turned and walked away. My heart was beating out of my chest. The bear was beautiful, I was grateful not to have been his dinner, and was a bit scared to go to sleep that night. Nothing better than bear stories, except when they turn out badly. Many thanks. I love these chats. I would not mind at all if they were longer. Much love, be safe, and God bless.

I really enjoy the fireside chats. I was squirrel hunting once. And walked up on a black bear. I didn't know that he was there until he started snapping his jaws together as a warning. So I backed out real slow, talking to the bear in a clam voice. And moved away to another area. Luckily, neither of us got injured.

This past week a black bear attacked a lady less than four miles from my home in rural southern Virginia and was airlifted to a hospital in Richmond. What has been reported so far is that her dog was in the woods and came out being chased by the bear and then she ended up being attacked by the bear.

And I can’t wait to slap the sticker I just bought on my tools box 😂 love all your videos man, keep going!! Added thought: You and Fin really are a wise force. Don’t feel pressured to shorten the stories, or verify them. We’re here for all of them. I only get to hit the bush three or four times a year. Watching you (and zack occasionally) keeps my mind right in nature. What you guys do is a dying breed and a dying culture. I love every second of it. A hard RIGHT ON👍, from New England.
