Our international event format Architects, not Architecture is known for inviting some of the most influential architects of our time and asks them to talk about their path, influences, and intellectual biographies. Our event series "Virtual World Tour“ brings the architecture community a bit closer together by taking attendees on tour around the globe to “visit” selected cities and virtually meet two of their renowned practices.

Daniel Libeskind is a US-American architect and urban planner of Polish-Jewish origin. He studied music in Israel and New York and also worked as a professional musician since he was a kind of child prodigy on the accordion. Later he opted for architecture and graduated from Cooper Union in New York and the University of Essex.
In 1989, he moved to Berlin with his family and founded the architecture studio “Studio Daniel Libeskind”. After winning the bid to rebuild the World Trade Center in February 2003, he relocated the headquarter to New York City.
Studio Libeskind quickly became involved with designing and realizing a large number of commercial centers, such as Westside in Bern, the Crystals at City Center in Las Vegas, and Ko-Bogen in Düsseldorf, as well as residential towers in Busan, Singapore, Warsaw, Toronto, Manila and Sao Paulo. He lives in New York with his wife and business partner, Nina Libeskind. www.libeskind.com
