Every time he plays Liszt there’s a demon that takes control over his playing, the level of interpretation and technique it’s insane WOW just WOW 👏👏👏

IT IS more about LOVE and CAPTURE DEEP emotion. Demon's COULD never play or interpret this as they are NOT CREATIVE: that is GOD's GLORY and not for those with pride-filled pretenses of being God like...hubris as it were int he times of the GREEKS

8:18 the way he contrasted the arpeggios on the right and the chords on the left hand was magic, Because on most videos or recording's most people try to bring out the left hand out and make the right hand arpeggio quiet, but he makes it the right tone for it to feel and sound like the right hand is also a part of it not a separate melody. Amazing, All I gotta say.:)

Comments say it all. Just to add what’s not reflected upon: the fact that by the time he is attacking this monstrously difficult work of art he has already played a Prokofiev No3 Sonata like there was no tomorrow, sublime Haydn, thoughtful Scarlatti, Tchaikovsky with gusto, a Chopin barcarolle with all he had … and now this, just from another planet. Thank you !!!

I find his interpretation of this piece mesmerizing. He is just pure genius. It is unbelievable how he enjoys playing such a difficult piece, his technique and control, his confidence. He just knows he is going to get it right, PERFECT indeed.

"Last night I listened to him again on KZitem - he has everything and more. What he does with his hands is technically incredible. It’s also his touch - he has tenderness and also the demonic element. I never heard anything like that." - Martha Argerich on The Financial Times, 9 July 2011 “지난밤에 나는 그의 연주를 유튜브로 다시 들었다. - 그는 모든 것을 가졌다. 건반 위의 터치는 부드럽다 못해 소름이 끼칠 정도이다. 지금껏 그와 같은 연주를 들어본 적이 없다.” - 마르타 아르헤리치, 2011년 7월 9일 피낸셜 타임스

this guy's passion for the music is extremely noticeable since he seems unaware he is sweating like hell. his whole mind is on the music, also for such a piece I don't think he has the time to mind his surroundings otherwise he'll mess up and embarrass himself

He is cream of the crop, "the best" is rather vague but id say there is a low single digit number that plays on that level and trifonov ranks at the top or at least shares the top. Peak performance piano!
