Side by side comparison of Danmar's M6 and MaxJax mid rise lifts The kinds of things I would use the lifts for if they were bolted down: • Service Park
Thank you ..I was about to pull the trigger on the MaxJax...But I think the Danmar is a step up in quality and ESPECIALLY the locking feature....Thank you

I noticed that you have what looks like an Epoxy ceramic coating on your garage floor. I'm also looking at having this done to my garage and then later planning on installing a Max Jax car lift. How difficult/easy was it to drill through the coating to set in your anchor bolts? Also when you are bolting the lifts to the floor were there any issues with the texture of the coating created for the post to sit flat?
@rallysol

Having an epoxy coating or not didn't make any difference in drilling the holes and I can't imagine it having any affect when installed. You'll shim around the individual bolts to square up the lift and any irregularities will just get crushed flat. To be honest, I haven't installed the lift on this floor as the slab is too thin.

what is the tolerance on the polyethelene blocks inside the channel? my m6 is having issues when i put weight on it and the carriage aims outwards. I lifted the car and the hydraulic cylinder hit the cross bar at the top. also are you having issues with the crinkle paint and smooth travel?
@rallysol
4 жыл бұрын
Rocking the carriage in place makes it seem somewhere between an 8th and a quarter inch total on the blocks. No more or less really than with the Maxjax. I haven't had a chance to use the M6 yet so I can't comment on how smoothly it lifts with the crinkle paint, though I will throw some white lithium grease at it just because.

Hey! So have you heard of any other low ceiling height options? I have realistically an 8 foot ceiling in my garage, and I've been truly contemplating one of these until I can build another garage with a taller ceiling? How have they held up to abuse? Any flexing or sketchyness?
@rallysol

There are a few low rise scissor options I've heard of but am not familiar with. I haven't had any issues with mine while I was able to use it. I'd occasionally earthquake test the cars a couple feet off the ground 'n the lift wouldn't make any odd noises. Just need to recheck the torque on the anchor bolts every once in a while

Maxjax allows for you to drill 2 more stops for the safety bar

Where did you find that? Did I miss it in the manual somewhere?

@@rallysol from this guy lol. kzitem.info/news/bejne/joietWyCf2eWa20 He only said that maxjax allows it but i didn’t see it written anywhere either. I’m sure they can. It’s probably one of those things where the math allows for it but the company wouldn’t recommend modifying the lift. Especially without a ‘professional’ 🤷🏻♂️ I’d do it. The structural integrity of the column being compromised by 4 more carefully placed holes, I feel, is way less likely to happen than say... one of the internal lock pins failing on its own. Would you agree?
@rallysol

@@robrodriguez4866 Yea, I didn't think that would be something they'd condone or endorse. But yea, I'd agree theres enough structure there. I mean I drilled a set for a lower stop in mine.

rallysol - are they OK on a 4inch slab?
@rallysol

I wouldn't. Lookin' at BendPac's requirements they want 4.5" reinforced high strength as a minimum. Here's a link to their page www.bendpak.com/car-lifts/concrete-floor-requirements/

As of right now, 01-22-2021, the M6 lists for $2440 and $1995 for the original on MaxJax.com www.maxjax.com/maxjax/ www.maxjax.com/shop/original-maxjax/

@CampfireCrucifix

@@rallysol And now as of writing this comment 9-25-2021 they have completely erased the origional off the face of this planet and jacked up the price of the m6 by 2k. What an absolute scummy move. And I was actually considering buying this but no way in hell am I paying for a premium for a product thats twice it's origional price.
